How do you wash faux suede?

I bought some sofa covers from Wal-Mart, both of which are faux suede, and neither had washing instructions included in the packaging or on the items themselves. I got them specifically so that they could be washed, since my husband insists on having the dog on the furniture and this was a good compromise...but now I have no clue how to clean them. There is no embroidery or anything fancy. Any thoughts?
